Bishop's University International Students' Association (BUISA) was founded in 2000 by international students willing to get together and share their knowledge and experience representing many different cultures around the world. Today, BUISA organizes several events during the academic year including trips to discover the beautiful province of Quebec. These events are managed by international students for international students.

By definition, all exchange students as well as non-Canadian ones (staying here for their full degree) are part of this association. In the course of a year (from September to May), we go to Montreal, to Tadoussac for whale-watching, to Quebec city for the winter carnival, to a Sugar shack to try out real Maple syrup, and eventually much more depending on the motivation of the international students. Also ski trips, BBQ’s, movie nights and numerous parties are organized. The directing board of BUISA welcomes any help and initiatives, as well as ideas to help them plan these events.

We hope you’ll come to Bishop’s University and bring us a bit of your exotic culture. You will share this year with people from Germany, France, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Spain, Australia, Colombia, Morocco, New Zealand, South Africa and many more countries. By sticking with this international crowd you’ll discover great things from people very different from you, and give them as much in return. But remember that to experience the local culture you also have to mingle with Canadians! Join us, we hope you’ll enjoy the Canadian experience, Eh!
